Shimla, Dec 18 (UNI) The BJP today sought unconditional apology from Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and state Animal Husbandry Minister Harsh Mahajan for releasing the contents of a hard disc by them recently.

Talking to mediapersons here, State party in-charge Satya Pal Jain accused the Congress Government of fabricating the contents of the hard disc and misleading the people of State by presenting a misleading picture.

''BJP legal cell has served a legal notice to Mr Singh and Mr Mahajan on behalf of Mr Dhumal, seeking unconditional apology from both the Congress leaders within seven days. If they do not apologize, the party will initiate necessary legal action against them,'' Mr Jain said.

Optimistic of emerging victorious in the ensuing Assembly elections, Mr Jain said the illegitimate acts by the Congress leaders reflected that they have accepted defeat before the elections.

''Yesterday, in Nagrota Bhagwan, the Congress leaders in connivance with the administration had put life of our national leader, Sushma Swaraj, in danger by blocking the landing of her helicopter,'' he said.

A complaint in this regard has been tendered to the election commission, demanding immediate removal of the local ADC and strict action against others involved in the episode, he added.

The BJP leader said the Chief Minister had no moral right to continue in the office after the Prime Minister's security was breached yesterday in Bilaspur.

The administration had completely failed in performing its duties, which indicates the lapse of the government, he said.

He alleged that even as the official campaigning had come to an end, the Congress leaders were organizing rallies, in complete violation of code of conduct.

''While Mr Singh held rallies in Shimla, Congress leader and MP Pratibha Singh staged rallies in Rampur. We have registered a complaint with election commission and demanded strict action,'' he said.

Reacting on the statements of the Congress and CPM leaders against the BJP on the issue of nuclear agreement, Mr Jain said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh came out with a statement in Parliament on the controversial issue.

Questioning the commitment of the Congress and the BJP towards nation's interest, he said ''these so called secular forces are together in union government, but are fighting against each other in Himachal.'' UNI AS JN LPB RK1914
