Vaiko leads protest against govt policies

Chennai, Dec 17 (UNI) MDMK General Secretary Vaiko today led a demonstration to protest against the policies of the Centre and state government.

The demonstration was held in front of the Chennai Collectorate.

The agitation was to demand Rs 1,000 per quintal as procurement price for paddy and condemn unannounced power cuts and fertiliser shortage in the state, which had affected the farmers badly.
