Two killed as truck rams into car in Punjab

Ludhiana, Dec 17 (UNI) Two persons, both cousins were killed after their car was hit by a speeding truck on the Ludhiana-ferozpur road here last night, police today said.

The victims identified as Umesh (32) and Ravi (23) were returning home after attending a marriage function in the city.

The police has registered a case against the truck driver who is absconding.

In another incident a labourer identified as Joginder Singh died after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a Municipal Corporation sewer on Gill road. Another labourer had to be hospitalised.
