'Mini Kumbh' in Mathura on New Year

Mathura, Dec 17 (UNI) A 'mini kumbh' will be held in the 'Giriraj ji ki Talhati' here when devotees in a huge number throng the place to celebrate New Year with fervour.

The strength of devotees, who visit the holy place, to celebrate the English calender's New Year, is increasing each year.

A grand 'chappan bhog' is also organised in the 'Giriraj ji ki Talhati' on 'poornima.' The congregation of people starts during the Christmas leaves here.

On December 31, the devotees carry out a 'parikrama' of the Giri Govardhan, take blessings of the God and wish for happiness in the coming year.

Meanwhile, people have already started booking hotels and Ashrams to curb any inconvenience later.
