Man shot dead, Rs 1.5 lakh valuables looted

Basti, Dec 17 (UNI) Unidentified armed men shot dead a man and later decamped with valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh in Burani Basti area here.

The incident occurred late last night near Bardahiya Bazaar crossing, where the culprits barged into the house of Gangashankar Kasudhan, a gold trader, and started robbing valuables.

However, on being opposed they shot at Lalla. He died on the spot, police said today.

Investigations were underway.
