Kubera Fund aquires minority interest in Ocimum

Mumbai, Dec 17 (UNI) Kubera Cross-Border Fund Ltd today said it has acquired a significant minority interest in Ocimum Biosolutions, a life sciences research and development-enabling company, for an equity invstment up to USD 17 million.

Initially, Ocimum will use Kubera's funds to aquire Genomics division of Gene Logic Inc, which will be aquired for a cash consideration of USD 10 million, the company said in a statement.

Ocimum delivers end-to-end genomic products and services from US, the Netherlands and India. It has three focus areas including Bio-IT, Bio-Molecule, Bio-research, it added.
