AIADMK to stage agitation in Karur tomorrow

Chennai, Dec 17 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa today announced that her party would stage a demonstration in Karur tomorrow to condemn the DMK Government for not relaying roads.

In a statement here, she said the people of Karur district had been facing lot of hardships due to bad roads. Development of a State's economy, especially the rural economy, and the development of industry and road transport depended on road infrastructure.

After the DMK assumed office, not even a single arterial road, including the Karur-Tiruchirapalli National Highway, had been relaid, she alleged.

To protest this, the AIADMK would stage an agitation in front of the Karur RDO office tomorrow and it would be led by party Organising Secretary E V K Sulochana Sampath and Karur District Secretary V Senthil Balaji, MLA.
