Nine kg gold ornaments stolen in AP

Vijayawada, Dec 17: A gang of unidentified persons struck at an apartment of a gold merchant and decamped with nine kg of gold ornaments, worth Rs one crore, at Governorpet area here late last night.

Police today said the merchant found his apartment ransacked, when he returned last night.

City Deputy Commissioner of Police U V S Raju said the miscreants entered the apartment using duplicate keys.

A search was on to nab the culprits, the police added.
