Young couple along with minor son commit suicide in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Dec 16 (UNI) A young couple, along with their minor son, allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at a lodge here today.

The police have identified the deceased as Tanaji Anandrao Shinde (30), his wife Ranee Shinde (25) and their four-year-old son Pranal.

They hailed from Nandgaon village in Karvir tehsil of the district, police sources said.

Tanaji first administered poison to his wife and son, and then consumed it himself, sources said, adding, Ranee and their son died at the hotel room, while Tanaji in a local hospital.

Police also recovered a suicide note from the hotel room, in which Tanaji had cited that they were taking this step due to personal problems and hence no one should be held responsible for their suicide, police added.
