Three cops among four injured by speeding car in hit-and-run case

New Delhi, Dec 16 (UNI) Four people, including three policemen, were injured when a speeding car hit a barricade at a police checkpoint near Lodhi Road police station in south Delhi.

The car, which sped off after the accident, is yet to be tracked down, police said. Two of the injured policemen were identified as Head Constable Rameshwar and Head Constable Harish.

One of the injured is said to be unconscious and in critical condition.

A fourth person, who was getting his vehicle documents checked by the policemen, was also injured in the accident.

The accident occurred on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

The Police Commissioner has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 to anyone providing information leading to the confiscation of the getaway vehicle and the arrest of its driver at the time of the accident.
