NCP urges Centre to expedite CBI probe on smuggling of rice
Puducherry,Dec 16(UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party today urged the Union Government to expedite the CBI probe into the smuggling of ration rice through Puducherry.
Party sources said NCP State unit President G Sundaramurty called on the party supremo and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum in this regard.
Mr Sundaramurty urged Mr Pawar to announce Rs 1000 as Minimum Support Price(MSP) for per quintal of paddy and ensure the development of agriculture here.
