Raipur, Dec 16 (UNI) Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi today said the Bastar jailbreak, in which more than 300 prisoners including Naxalites had escaped after attacking jail guards, reflected the serious deterioration of the law and order situation in the state.

''The Maoists attacked the Jehanabad jail in Bihar from outside during the night. But the incident in Bastar took place during the day time that too from inside the jail,'' he told UNI while reacting to the incident.

Mr Jogi, who is at present on a state wide tour to attend the programmes being organised by the Satnami community, said the Raman Singh government has lost its moral right to contuine in office, mainly because of its failures on the law and order front.

'' We are not demanding resignation of the BJP government and it would be voted out of power in next year's assembly polls,'' he added.

Alleging that a serious security lapse had led to the jail break, Mr Jogi wondered why there was no proper security arrangements in the Dantewada sub-jail, located in one of the worst naxalite affected district in South Bastar.
