Haryana to release five year energy action plan

Chandigarh, Dec 16 (UNI) In its endeavour to promote energy conservation by adopting unconventional sources , the Haryana government will release its Five Year Action Plan on Energy Conservation on December 18.

While stating this here today, Mrs Sumita Misra, Director, Haryana Renewable Energy Department said that the Plan would be released in a state level seminar on energy conservation here.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda besides releasing the Plan, would also felicitate the industries and institutions with the State Level Energy Conservation Awar Mrs Misra said that the objective of the seminar would be to sensitize decision and policy makers and various agencies of the state government about energy conservation. She said that Haryana was amongst a few states in the country to launch a scheme to give State Level Awards of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 25,000 to the High Tension(HT) and Low Tension(LT) consumers for excellence in energy conservation.
