BJP MP seeks Vasundhara Raje's support for IIT in Jaipur

Jaipur, Dec 16 (UNI) Jaipur MP Giridhari Lal Bhargava has urged Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to impress upon the Centre to set up an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) here.

Talking to reporters here last evening, Mr Bhargava said he had called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh and other Ministers to present his case for the setting up of the IIT in the state capital.

He said the Centre had assured him of due consideration on the demand and stressed that Jaipur is the ideal venue for the IIT given the geographical, political and administrative importance of the state.

Mr Bharagava said he would also call on the Chief Minister Ms Raje to seek her support in this regard.
