3 killed in separate accidents in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Dec 16 (UNI) Three persons, including a woman, were killed in two separate accidents in this district today.

In the first incident, a garage worker, 25-year-old Anis Gangadhar Nair, was killed in a freak accident at Bhogawati in Karvir taluka of this district. Nair was mending the puncture of a tractor tyre. However, due to excess pressure, the tube burst and Nair was fatally injured on the head. He succumbed to his injuries.

In the second incident, two persons, including a woman, were killed on the spot near Kinee village on the Pune-Bangalore national highway when their motor-cycle dashed against a tractor today.

The deceased have been identified as Balasaheb Namdev Yadav (30) from Wategaon in Sangli district and Shradha Rajaram Natekar (22), police said.
