Patil lauds Church works in education, health

Pathanamthitta, Dec 15 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today said the advent of Christian missionaries initiated deep rooted changes in the education and health sectors of the country.

Inaugurating a heart institute attached to the Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Science and Research at Thiruvalla, near here, he said Kerala and Karnataka benefitted the most from the presence of missionaries.

The Union Minister lauded the service rendered by the Church in these sectors.

UNI
