Nitish not fulfilling constitional obligation: Lalu
Patna, Dec 15 (UNI) RJD Chief Lalu Prasad today alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not fulfilling his constitutional obligations as his government had failed to acquire land for execution of various railway projects in the state.
Mr Prasad, also the Railway Minister, told reporters here that it was mandatory for the state government to provide land for railway projects but the Nitish government had failed to make available the land for such projects, despite several requests.
'' The lackadaisical approach of Mr Kumar was responsible for delay in execution of several rail projects in Bihar, which could have changed the face of the state and provided employment to lakhs of youths,'' he added.
'' How can Mr Kumar claim himself to be the champion of ushering a new era of development and prosperity in Bihar, if he is so lackadaisical in providing land for the several ambitious railway projects in the state?'' Mr Prasad asked.
