NDA not opposed to Advani as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate
Muzaffarpur, Dec 15 (UNI) NDA convener George Fernandes today said it was not opposed to the BJP's decision of projecting Lal Krishna Advani as its Prime Ministerial candidate during the next Lok Sabha election.
Mr Fernandes told reporters here that the NDA had geared up for the next Lok Sabha elections and all its constituents were unanimous in supporting the decision of the BJP in projecting Mr Advani as its Prime Ministerial candidate.
Asked about his possibility to change his constituency during the next Lok Sabha election, Mr Fernandes categorically declared that he would contest the election from Muzaffarpur and there was no question to change it.
'' It is certain I will contest and that too from Muzaffarpur, '' he asserted.
Mr Fernandes alleged that the UPA government at the Centre was least concerned for the welfare of the masses and only engaged in taking political mileage keeping an eye on the next Lok Sabha election.
Instead of taking care of the poor masses, the UPA government had spent Rs 80,000 crore in advertisements carrying colourful photograph of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
