Junior doctors on strike in Indore

Indore, Dec 15 (UNI) Junior doctors of the Indore Medical College went on flash strike today in protest against police baton charging them.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Maheshchand Jain said the trouble began following a clash and stone-pelting between two groups of hostellers during a cultural programme on college premises last night.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and intervened.

Some policemen were injured in stone throwing by junior doctors.

Police resorted to a baton charge to control the situation. During the baton charging Junior Doctors' Association President Amod Jain was injured.

Patients had a harrowing time with junior doctors going on strike.

Meanwhile, a case was registered against junior doctors for interfering in government work.
