Himachal unit of Samajwadi Party merges into Paswan's party
New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Close on the heels of Rashtriya Janata Dal unit of Himachal Pradesh merging itself with Ramvilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party, the Samajwadi Party too joined its hands with the LJP in Kangra town of Himachal Pradesh today.
Talking to UNI from Kangra, Mr Paswan said that the party had accepted the Samajwadi Party unit headed by Mr Ramswarup Shandil.
Only recently the state RJD unit led by Mr Deepak Sharma had merged into the LJP. "We are sure to emerge as a key factor after the Assembly elections," Mr Paswan said. The party has one MLA in the outgoing assembly.
