Dasmunshi holds CPI(M) responsible for Nandigram

Siliguri, Dec 15 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi today held the CPI(M) "responsible" for the Nandigram incidents.

Speaking at a protest rally, Mr Dasmunshi alleged that the major partner of the ruling Left Front - CPI(M) - was mainly responsible for the Nandigram incident, and other partners - CPI, RSP and Forward Bloc were not party to it.

The Union Minister claimed that these three constituents were not in favour of chemical hub there and had raised their voice against the CPI(M) move.

About the Sixth Schedule in Darjeelling, the Minister said the issue had been sent to the Standing Committee and nothing could be said before the report.

While the GNLF wanted Sixth Schedule, the Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha (GJMM) demanded for Gorkhaland.
