CPI(Maoist) sub-zonal commander arrested in Palamu

Daltonganj, Dec 15 (UNI) Police today arrested a self-styled sub-zonal commander of CPI(Maoist) from Daltonganj police station area in Jharkhand's Palamu district.

Suprintendent of Police Dipak Verma said acting on a tip off, police arrested Mahendra Ram alias Avinash from near Chianki on the Ranchi-Daltonganj road.

The arrested rebel was involved in many criminal activities registered in Husssainabad and Chattarpur police station areas of the district.
