1,750 tonnes of rice delivered to Bangladesh

Visakhapatnam, Dec 15 (UNI) The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) has delivered the first consignment of Centre-donated 1,750 tonnes of rice to Bangladesh, which was recently devastated by cyclone 'Sidr'.

According to an ENC release, the consignment was delivered by Naval ships--Gharial, Kumbhir, Cheetah and Mahish.

The remaining quantity of 3,250 tonnes would be delivered by January next, the release added.
