South Indian Artistes Association's star show in Malaysia

Chennai, Dec 14: The South Indian Artistes Association will organise a star show in Malaysia and Singapore on December 18 and 19 respectively to mark the Association's 75th anniversary celebrations, its President R Sarath Kumar said.

The annoucement comes amid opposition from a section of the Tamil leaders here for the star show in Malaysia, following the recent attack on ethnic Tamils by the Malaysian government.

In a statement issued yesterday, Mr Sarath Kumar said all arrangements for the star show were being made and the stars, taking part in the show, were holding rehearsals.

Meanwhile, Ms Radhika Sarath Kumar, whose Radan company is organising the star show, gave an invitation of the 75th anniversary celebration to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

Congratulating the Association, Mr Karunanidhi said he was always concerned about the development of the association and wished it all the best.

Mr Sarath Kumar and other association office bearers thanked the Chief Minister for his support.
