Jt venture in hotel sector to bring investors to state: Lalu

Howrah, Dec 14 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today said joint venture in the hotel sector would help bring investors to West Bengal.

Inaugurating a hotel built by ITC and Fortune group near Howrah Kona Expressway, he said this type of hotel would not only entertain the Indians and foreigners but would also help earn foreign exchange.

The Railway Minister observed one minute silence to pay respect to 16 people killed in a bus-rail collision in Punjab's Chuharchak village in Moga district today. Sixteen people had also been injured in the accident.

Among those present in the function were Union Minister of Water Resource Joy Prakash, State Minister of Sports, and Transport Subhash Chakraborty, MP Swadesh Chakraborty and Howrah Mayor Gopal Mukherjee.
