Rahul Mahajan's wife files for divorce

Gurgaon, Dec 13: The wife of Rahul Mahajan, son of slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, filed for divorce on the ground of incompatibility in a local court here today.

Mrs Shweta Mahajan filed the case in the court of Gurgaon Sessions Judge Ramendra Jain who will hear the case on January 24, 2008.Sources said the divorce was filed after mutual consent between the husband and the wife. Rahul had already taken General Power of Attorney of no objection from his side. Rahul married Shweta in August 2006 and there were consistent reports of problems in their marital life.

Mrs Shweta Mahajan had alleged in media reports that Rahul had abused her verbally and physically.
