SC dismisses petition seeking eviction of Nusli Wadia

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition filed by New India Assurance Company seeking eviction of leading industrialist Nusli Neville Vadai, Chairman of Bombay dyeing group, from the premises in which he and his family have been living since 1972.

A bench comprising Justices S B Sinha and H S Bedi also imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 on the insurance company for seeking eviction of Wadia on flimsy grounds and for indulging in frivolous litigation.

Wadia is living in Malabar Hills area in Mumbai.

The company had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the judgment of Mumbai High court dismissing the company's petition.
