Riverbank Holdings finalises funding of Rs 117.6 crore

Kolkata, Dec 13 (UNI) Riverbank Holdings has finalised funding of Rs 117.6 crore for the IT/SEZ at Calcutta Riverside with Yatra Capital Limited as the investment partner.

Announcing this here today, Riverbank Holding Private Limited Managing Director Sumit Dabriwala said, '' This is an important milestone for the SEZ, which has a great opportunity. '' '' West Bengal is now witnessing a new wave of optimism and resurgence and it is indeed a matter of pride that over the past few years Kolkata is home for a large number of IT companies, '' Mr Dabriwala said.

He said the competitive advantage of the state, especially in the services sector, was immense due to the existence of the large pool of talent and the enhanced quality of infrastructure, including power, telecom and airline connectivity.

'' The IT sector in recent times has grown rapidly in the state and it has tremendous potential, which could be translated into real growth with provision of enabling infrastructure, including IT parks and IT SEZs, '' Mr Dabriwala observed.
