Munde tight-lipped on Rahul's divorce

Mumbai, Dec 13 (UNI) Even as news channels continued to flash reports about the divorce between late Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul and Shweta Singh, family members refused to comment on the subject.

Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Gopinath Munde, who is Rahul's uncle, avoided comments on the subject when contacted by UNI.

The news channels showed that Rahul and Shweta, who got married nearly one year ago, have mutually agreed to divorce each other, and Shweta has filed her divorce papers in a Gurgaon court.

Rahul was a pilot with Jet Airways where Shweta was his colleague.

After the death of his father, Rahul and Pramod Mahajan's personal assistant Bibek Moitra were involved in a drug overdose controversy in which the latter had lost his life.

While Rahul was undergoing treatment in the hospital, Shweta visited him regularly and the two had married thereafter in Mumbai and the wedding was attended by former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani among others.
