Junior doctors resume work at AP hospital

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (UNI) Junior doctors of Niloufer Children's Hospital today resumed work after calling off their 12-day-old strike following the intervention of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Yesterday, the High Court recorded the undertaking given by the agitating doctors saying they were calling off the stir.

The doctors were demanding the arrest of AMIM MLA Afsar Khan under Sec 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC for allegedly manhandling them and Special Protection Force (SPF) security at the hospital.

After the court's intervention on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the doctors called off the agitation.

Meanwhile, a 15-member SPF team was deployed at the hospital premises.
