Gold jewellery worth Rs 47 lakh robbed on highway in Goa
Panaji, Dec 13 (UNI) Two unidentified miscreants on a motorcycle, waylald a vehicle at Mapusa by-pass on Goa-Mumbai highway in north Goa and decamped with a bag containing jewellery worth Rs 47 lakh today.
The miscreants allegedly sprayed some chemical on the face of the driver and the owner of the valuables before fleeing from the spot with the booty this evening, police said.
The victims were on their way to home in Mapusa from Dabolim airport. They had collected the consignment from Bangalore, police inform.
Police have alerted all the stations and sealed the borders to nab the culprits.
