City's Industrial area to get more parking facility

Chandigarh, Dec 13 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration on the recommendations of the Infrastructural Development Committee under the Chairmanship of Home Secretary Krishna Mohan, has identified six sites for creating additional parking facility in the industrial area of the city.

This has been done to decongest the industrial area and anticipating the future needs with respect to the infrastructural support required for the area.

The identified sites will be used as multi level parking areas but immediately the same would be used for providing surface parking.

Similarly, the administration is also in the process of widening the internal roads of Industrial and Business Park so as to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic.
