UNPA to organise meeting in New Delhi on Dec 18

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (UNI) United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) Convenor and the Telugu Desam party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today said that the UNPA would organise a meeting on 'agriculture and Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the agricultural products' in New Delhi on December 18.

Addressing mediapersons here, he said the leaders, MPs and MLAs of UNPA would participate in the meeting which would also be attended by the experts in agriculture and policy makers.

Alleging that the UPA had failed to provide MSP for paddy and other agriculture products despite of the Opposition's demands, the UNPA leader demanded that the Centre implement the recommendations of M S Swaminathan Committee, to uplift the living standards of farmers in the country.
