Two women Maoists surrender in Orissa

Sambalpur, Dec 12 (UNI) Two more women Maoists have surrendered before the police here with arms and ammunition.

The surrendered Maoists were identified as Scholestica Minz alias Sujata (24) daughter of Lucas Minz of Mendhiakani village and Rashmita Nayak alias Kabita of Jadagola village in Deogarh district, Sambalpur Superintendent of Police Sanjaya Kumar told a news conference here today.

The two cadres had joined the outlaws in 2005 on the promise that they would be provided with better education and jobs.

The two told the newspersons that they found a totally different atmosphere in the camps as the only job of top cadre Maoists was to mint money and kill innocent people who dared to protest their illegal activities.

Girish, Damdeo, Tofan, Gauranga and many other senior leaders belonging to MCC have allured the poor and innocent people including girls to join the underground force, the surrendered Maoists said.

Few days back also another woman Maoist, Dipti Nayak, surrendered before the police.
