Tata Motors launches 'LPS 4923' in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Dec 12 (UNI) Country's Leading auto manufacturer Tata Motors today launched the LPS 4923 here.

Addressing a press conference here today. company Vice President (Commercial vehicles) Ravi Pisharody said the new heavy vehicle from the Tata staple has a loading capacity of 49 tonnes, the highest in its class. The vehicle is durable and a world class machine with easy maintenance, less down time and offers enhanced safety and comfort features, he added.

The engine delivers a power of 230hp. Its torque of 814Nm ensures less fatigue and more milege. It also has a world class suspension, long life and good axile alignment retention properties, Mr Pisharody added.

R Ramakrishnan Head (Sales and Marketing-Medium and Heavy Trucks) added that the new vehicle comes with a heavy duty Eaton FS 10309 gear box and 38 MM DIA clutch. Its aluminium casting gives sturdier look to the vehicle and a longer gear box life. It has nine gears including one crawler and one reverse gear.

He said the vehicle has been fitted with an anti-lock brake, a first in its class. The pole wheel and sensors are attached to the rotating wheel hub to measure the vehicle speed which is constantly feed. Tata LPS 4923 offers some more additional product features such as inter axile differential lock, serrated coupling, small silencer size , propeller shaft, water cooled compressor and air assisted clutch booster etc.

He said, ''the introduction of Tata LPS 4923 is an important milestone in comopanies efforts to continually refresh its product portfolio with the introduction of newer products with superior technologies.'' UNI
