Standing Labour Committee to meet tomorrow
New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The 42nd session of Standing Labour Committee (SLC), to be held tomorrow, will deliberate upon key labour issues, besides, finalising the agenda for the next Labour Conference.
Among the issues in the agenda to be discussed in the meeting, to be chaired by Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes, include issues concerning contractualisation of labour, role of social partners in appropriate skill development for employability, corporate social responsibility and the problems and issues concerning migrant labour (domestic and abroad), an official statement said.
The tripartite meeting will be attended by senior representatives of Central Trade Union Organisations, Central Organisations of Employers and Labour Ministers and senior officers from State Governments and union territory administration and the representatives from Central Ministries/Departments.
