Man arrested for possessing catfish seed worth Rs five lakh

Vijayawada, Dec 12 (UNI) Police arrested a man and seized catfish seed worth Rs five lakh here today.

Police said acting on a tip off, a police team intercepted a lorry at Varadhi and seized the material packed in 20 containers, while the man was transporting it in the lorry from Kaikuluru to Kurnool.

The seed was banned following environmental threat.
