Governor announce Rs one lakh compensation

Bangalore, Dec 12 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today announced a compensatiuon of rs one lakh each to the family of those killed in a building collapse in the city last night.

Those injured would receive Rs.25,000, according to an official release here.

The toll in the mishap rose to eight with three persons succumbing to injuries at the Government Bowring hospital. As many as 13 people were injured in the mishap that happened during a pre-marriage function at a City Corporation tenament.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjuna Kharge visited the mishap venue and consoled the bereaved families. The KPCC also announced a solarium of Rupees ten thousand to the kin's of those killed and another Rs 5000 to the injured. He also visited the hospital where the injured were admitted.
