Computer equipment worth lakhs stolen from SBI

Hardoi, Dec 12 (UNI) A local State Bank of India (SBI) branch has been burgled of computer equipment worth several lakh of rupees.

Police today said, masked men entered the SBI branch on Cinema road yesterday and decamped with CPUs and servers.

The equipment was purchased in March this year for the branch's computerisation. The robbery came to light, when a team of engineers opened the store room.

Meanwhile, software engineer Mukul and sanitation staffer Ram Ratan were detained and interrogated.
