Chill is back, mercury slides to 8.4 deg C

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The winter chill returned to the capital as the mercury slid to 8.4 degrees Celcius today after providing brief warmth from yesterdays's 12.1 degrees C.

The minimum temperature recorded at 8.4 degrees was normal and accompanied with a shallow fog, the MET department said.

The weathermen forecasted mist or fog for tomorrow morning. The minimum temperature was likely to be around 7 degrees C.
