BSF jawan commits suicide in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 12: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan allegedly shot himself dead using his service rifle in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today.

Constable Binod Kumar of 26 BSF Battalion committed suicide while he was on guard duty at a Border Outpost (BOP) in Pargwal area of Akhnoor sector yesterday, sources said.

The deceased, who was the resident of Mungar Bihar, had joined his duty after availing full leave a few weeks ago.

After autopsy, the body of BSF jawan was sent to his hometown for last rites, sources added.
