Patna, Dec 11(UNI) The issues like promotion, retirement and other benefits of teachers of Magadha University rocked the Bihar Legislative council which was adjourned following uproar created by the Opposition.
Leader of opposition in the Upper House Ghulam Ghaus demanded a debate accepting an adjournment motion on the issue in the House.
Several other members of the opposition also came in the support of Mr Gaus. The agitated members trooped into the well and shouted slogans. In the meantime joining the issue, Mr Ramkishore Singh of the ruling party also came to the well.
Acting Chairman of the state legislative council Prof Arun Kumar tried to bring the House in order, but his efforts went in vain following which the Chairman adjourned the House during the pre-lunch session.
