SBI to triple its ATM network in three years

Mumbai, Dec 11 (UNI) State Bank of India, country's leading bank, will increase its existing ATM network by three folds in the next three years.

Announcing this at the launch of Mastercard MoneySend facility here today, SBI Deputy Manager Deepak Chawla said that the scheduled commercial bank will increase its existing ATM channel network of 8,000 to 25,000 in the next three years.

SBI has the largest bank-owned ATM network in India, running on a BASE 24 Transaction Switch.

SBI started its off-line ATM deployment in 1992.
