Rebels kidnapped one person, shot at another

Tezpur, Dec 11 (UNI) Unidentified extremists shot at a trader and kidnapped his son from Rangapara town in upper Assam this evening, police said today.

A gang of armed militants forcibly entered the house of Om Prakash Goel(58), the trader, at about 2000 hrs and shot and injured him seriously.

Later the rebels kidnapped his son Pankaj Goel at gunpoint.

The police have started a massive man haunt.
