Mirwaiz for complete demilitarisation of J
Srinagar, Dec 11 (UNI) The moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today asserted that demilitarisation of Jammu and Kashmir was a pre-requisite for putting an immediate end to the alleged human rights violations in the troubled state.
Addressing a function here, the Mirwaiz reiterated that the inclusion of people of Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing dialogue process between India and Pakistan was imperative for resolving the vexed issue once and for all.
He urged India to reciprocate Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's four-point formula on Kashmir. The Hurriyat chairman further demanded immediate release of all political detainees and repeal of draconian laws in the strife-torn state.
