Min temp rises to 12.1 deg C but max remains low at 20.6 deg C

New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) Though the chilly weather in the capital abated today with the minimum temperature shooting up to 12.1 degree Celsius, the cold winds kept the maximum temperature at 20.6 degree Celsius, three degree below normal.

The minimum temperature was three degree above normal, the MeT department said. Slight rainfall was also experienced at some places.

The sharp rise in minimum temperature from yesterday's 8.8 degree Celsius was attributed to the clouds hovering over the capital's skyline for the second day today.

Visibility levels also showed marked improvement with the minimum visibility rising from 400 m to 1000 m.

The weathermen forecast mist or shallow fog tomorrow morning, while the minimum temperature was expected to be around 10 degree Celsius.
