Mastermind of BJP MLA's house bomb blast case held

Ghazipur, Dec 11 (UNI) Mastermind of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai's house bomb blast -- Ram Nivaas alias Nivaas Chaudhary -- was arrested near railway station here this evening.

A pistol and five live cartridges were seized from his possession, police said adding, the arrested hailed from Rohtas district of Bihar.

On June 26, a bomb blast had occurred at the BJP MLA's house at Tulsi Sagar colony. One person had died in the incident.

The MLA's nephew Manoj Rai and his accomplice Babudhan Chaudhary of Bihar were nabbed in the case.

Police alleged Manoj had bought the bomb to kill Mau's MLA Mukhtar Ansari, but incidentelly, the bomb exploded at Rai's house, where it was kept.
