A division bench comprising Justices R M S Khandeparkar and Amjad Sayed deferred the hearing after the court was informed that the petitioner, Adv Maheer Desai, cannot attend the proceedings due to some personal reasons.
The state government was supposed to submit the list of police officials, who were allegedly involved in the death of Yunus, today.
Earlier, the state government had told the High Court that it had granted sanction to prosecute the officials who were named by the state CID that had conducted a probe into the matter.
It may be recalled that Yunus' mother Asiya Begum had filed a petition before the court seeking action against the crime branch officials involved in her son's death and also for a compensation of Rs five lakh.
