Eminent scientists for International meet on Vedic sciences
Machilipatnam, Dec 11 (UNI) An international conference on 'Indian sciences in the pre Adi Sankara period' will be held in Hyderabad on December 14, according to Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas Chairman Prof K V Krishna Murthy.
Talking to newspersons here today, he said eminent scholars and scientists would participate in the conference, to be inaugurated by His Holiness Ganapati Sachidananda Swamy, the chief pontiff of Avadhoots Datta Peetham, Mysore.
He said the conference assumes importance because of the fact that there was an urgent need for an alternate approach to scientific exploration and the intelligensia in the world being pushed towards Vedic literature.
The ancient Vedic literature of India was also a treasure trove of scientific excellence and this view was also gaining popularity across the world, he said.
