Pathanamthitta, Dec 11 (UNI) In view of the heavy rush of pilgrims to the Sabarimala hill shrine, the Travancore Devaswam Board is seriously considering the idea of introducing a special queue system solely devoted to children and elderly people to facilitate their darshan.

Talking to newspersons here, Board president C K Guptan said the Devaswam Board was planning various radical reforms to ensure hazzle-free worship at the Ayyappa temple.

Referring to the Aravana crisis that hit the ongoing ''Mandalam'' pilgrimage season, he said 67,000 tins of the ''Prasadam'' were sold yesterday itself.

The present stock comprised 50,000 eco-friendly containers of ''Aravana'' and 6,000 Aravana-filled plastic tins. There was also a stock of 4,90,000 flip-lid containers and 51,600 other types of cans to be filled.
